Green Briquettes for Fossil Fuel Displacement in South Africa

This is regarding the PoA GSID: GS23399 titled “Green Briquettes for Fossil Fuel Displacement in South Africa” and the real case VPA GSID: GS23400 titled “GS23399 VPA-1 Renewable Biomass Briquette Production for Clean Energy.”

The Design Consultation and Local Stakeholder Consultation for both the PoA and VPA were conducted on 25/07/2025. The following documents are now publicly available as part of the Gold Standard registration process for carbon credits:

The stakeholder consultation round for the South Africa Green Briquettes project concluded with supportive feedback; all inputs were logged and integrated into the documentation, resulting in no material changes to the project design. 

During the 60-day public posting period, comments can be submitted via:
